Cobectal Countertop RO Water Purifier: Delivers healthier drinking water for your home.

RO Water Purifier Review

Recently, I purchased a desktop Cobectal RO water purifier. After testing it for a while, I gained a clear understanding of its suitability and performance—it's become my main partner in the office! Today, I'll share this detailed test report to help friends with drinking water needs in their workspaces.

I. Ideal Settings
Initially, I debated where to place it, but eventually realized this purifier excels in office environments. Why? It’s designed for “on-demand” drinking scenarios. In an office setting, this feature shines: employees can brew coffee, steep tea, or grab room-temperature water with precision. Plus, it’s quiet, space-efficient, and its sleek design blends seamlessly into the workplace—major plus points.
Its core function is purifying tap or bottled water, offering both room-temperature and hot water options—covering most daily office drinking needs.

II. Dual Tanks + Auto Refill for Hassle-Free Use
This purifier features a clever design with two distinct tanks:
• External tank: 4-liter capacity. Requires manual refilling under a faucet. Simple operation with easy portability.
• Internal tank: Stores purified water at 1.5 liters. Offers 5-ounce or 10-ounce dispensing options to minimize waste.
What truly impressed me is its automatic refill feature: once purified water is dispensed, the unit automatically draws water from the external tank for purification and replenishes the internal tank. It operates exceptionally quietly—barely audible unless you're right next to it—making it perfect for quiet offices without disturbing others. This is a huge improvement over my kitchen water purifier!
However, here's a crucial reminder: RO purifiers generate wastewater during filtration, and this model directs that wastewater back into the external tank. If you only periodically “top off” the external tank without thoroughly cleaning and replacing the water, the water inside will gradually become increasingly dirty over time. Eventually, the machine may fail to purify properly. I recommend performing this step at least once daily: move the external tank to the sink, drain it completely, rinse it 1-2 times, then refill with fresh tap water. This step is crucial for maintaining purification efficiency.

III. Water Quality Test Results: 92% Impurity Removal Rate
When purchasing a water purifier, purification effectiveness is the top concern. I conducted three tests using a TDS water quality tester (which measures impurities in water by PPM; lower values indicate greater purity, with EPA standards considering over 400PPM as contaminated). The results are clear:
1. Tap water: Measured at 286 PPM (sometimes approaching 400 PPM), indicating moderate impurity levels;
2. Output from this RO water purifier: 23 PPM, an excellent result;
3. Output from my kitchen distiller: 10 PPM,  slightly higher than the RO purifier.
But keep in mind the distiller's “cost”: producing 1 gallon (about 3.8 liters) of pure water takes 5 hours, consumes over 3 kWh of electricity, and generates noise during operation. This RO purifier, however, delivers water “on demand”—quietly and energy-efficiently. In this comparison, the RO water purifier clearly offers better value for money in an office setting—after all, no one wants to wait 5 hours for a cup of water at work, nor be distracted by machine noise.

IV. Conclusion: 5 Stars for a Solid Water Purifier
This RO purifier truly deserves 5 stars: attractive design, thoughtful engineering, efficient purification, quiet operation, and energy efficiency. Placed in an office, it reliably solves drinking water needs. I consider it an excellent choice.
